Industrial Hygiene Program: We have started personal air sampling and bulk ash sampling of the plants we work in. If you are asked to wear a pump for personal sampling please accept our thanks for helping to insure the safety of all our workers. The results of these samples will impact our safety programs and the choices we make regarding PPE and engineering solutions to reduce hazards. This is a team effort and we are all winners by knowing what the risks are and taking the appropriate precautions. There will be more news regarding results as we receive them.

Fall Protection & PAPR employee purchase program: Through our supplier Dival Safety we have secured discounted pricing to enable employees to purchase top quality Miller Revolution Nomex/Kevlar Fall Protection Harnesses, Lanyards and accessories as well as North Powered Air Purifying Respirator attachments for their 7600 series full face respirators. To date approximately 1/3 of the field employees have opted in to the program. We are hoping to continue this program in the Spring season. Please call Tim with questions.

PPE Bags:   In preparation for the outage season most employees will be receiving new PPE bags filled with important things from the office. They will be coming in the trailers on your first job of the outage season. Contents will vary by employee but may include:

  1. Training certificates and wallet cards from this years’ annual training indicating training on Fork Lift, Confined Space, Rigging, Hydraulic, PODS, PPE, and Hand Tool Training
  2. CM Rigging and Signal Person certification training attendees will receive a framed certificate of completion
  3. MSHA certificates to all who completed all 3 days of training (training make up day in August counts for those that missed the first day of safety training)
  4. Audiogram results
  5. Fit Test cards
  6. Fall Protection, PAPR’s or other equipment if you have purchased them
  7. NEW personalized locks for the LOTO program
  8. Rigging Pocket Guides
  9. Guardian Dental/Vision insurance cards
  10. CDPHP/CVS mail in pharmacy forms
  11. NEW Red Roof Inn employee discount cards
